OCEAN IT CDROM

Over the years many experts have developed lots of freeware/shareware and databases on various aspects of oceanography. However, availability of these packages when required becomes difficult due to lack of knowledge about their whereabouts. To over come this problem and to aid the wider dissemination of the packages developed, an unique efforts is being made to collate these freeware, shareware, evaluation copies of priced packages and demo versions of databases/databanks. It is planned make them available to the ITO98 delegates and also disseminate widely. Appeal is being made to the authors of such packages to provide source codes in order to facilitate collation on CDROM.
