The characteristic feature of the Black Sea consists in the presence of thick hydrogen sulphide contamination zone (H2S-Zone) and rather thin layer of aerobic waters.

Modern computers technologies play great role in research of the different scales phenomena in the ocean and sea now. One of the instances is using of a special information technology for the computer atlas creation and analysis of the location of the oxic/anoxic interactive zone in the Black sea from multiannual data.

This information technology consists of the following parts:

The technology was realised on PC using both standard and developed software. It gives an opportunity to raise quality of cartographic materials and to provide operative data renovation. The computer atlas describing the characteristics of the oxic/anoxic interactive zone was created. The atlas consists of four parts :

For the first time, a new information technology was applied for reconstruction of maps from section IV. It permitted to specify, using hydrological data, H2S - zone UB location in the square with low data provision and for the periods when observation were missed.
