INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY OF ANALYSIS AND PREDICTION OF SEA-LEVEL CHANGE

An information management system of the Black Sea level observations was designed in order to collect and Process sea-level data. The system gives visual information on

location off 52 stations measuring the Black Sea level since 1873 till date;
annual sea-level changes at each station; long-term sea-level changes at each station; and gives such possibilities as
to compare annual and long-term sea-level data from different stations;
to compare annual sea-level changes for different years;
to get both experimental values and processing data (mean and extreme values of sea level some trends and statistics and so on). On the base of this system a consulting program would be designed Its aim is to estimate coast line changes of local parts of theshore as a result of
global sea-level rise due to greenhouse and steric effects
strong on-shore waves;
local earthquakes;
human activities.

Such estimates will give an opportunity to predict an economic damage due

to sea-level rise;
to make recomendations in using of coastal territories in long-term economic programs ;
to design a protecting constructions near coastal areas of the most risk.
